A musician, painter, and three poets collaborated to create an exhibit and performance inspired by the theme of Journeys. The theme was drawn from the song “Dangerous Journey” composed by Carl Koelling 1831-1914. Each artist interpreted this theme through their own perspective, background and personal experiences. This book showcases the poems, paintings and song created during this project. The reader will find art in each discipline that not only explores ideas of physical journeys, but also expresses internal journeys of growth and change, discomfort and regret.

Still Quail is a collection of poetry and illustrations that examine the author's relationship with her past, present, and hopes for the future. The poems are often expressed using metaphorical references to Greek myths. The author's illustrations in the second half of the book navigate through the context of this colorful and imaginary world in unexpected ways.

In this thematic sequel to the author’s 2021 collection “Cinema Paronomasia,” which has sold nearly four copies since its publication, film posters once again are the subject. This time, though, the electronic spirits of a dozen or so eminent artists and illustrators have been enlisted—conscripted, really—to generate these artworks as “Midjourney,” an AI gorged on tens of millions of images scraped from the internet, “imagines” they might render them. The results range from intriguing to grotesque, but for even the most preposterous examples, as the epigraph notes, “you are surprised to find it done at all.”

The Detroit Angel Psalter is a gorgeous King James Version of the Book of Psalms. The cover design is derived from a 14th Century tempera painting entitled the Annunciation Angel. The original painting currently hangs in the Detroit Institute of Arts. Limited Edition of 500 Copies Worldwide.

The Orthographic artform is a painting style that integrates a message puzzled within it. The idea is to sculpt iconic words with the use of bold brush strokes into a message board of sorts. This artistry seeks to capture on canvas the verbal expressions of remarkable individuals by incorporating some of their identifiable words emboldened in shapes, colors and symbols. This was the genesis of the artistry in this Orthographic style which captures a talent from the hand of the artist to the brush. So, what is Orthographic art?
